Minorities protection

In Kaffa Zone, SNNPRS, Menja minority group experiences  a condition of discrimination and self isolation, due to mutual prejudices perpetuated over the centuries. Discrimination is reflected in many forms of segregation, from the access to basic services (health, education, etc.) to the attendance  to communities meetings. Especially for young girls who sell firewood or charcoal, school attendance not only represents the opportunity for a better future perspective, but also the way to discourage early pregnancies and child marriage, thus reducing the risk of exposure to sexually transmitted diseases.
